The Niagara Falls Canucks would like to congratulate Captain Matthew Riva on his USports commitment to the Brock Badgers Hockey Team starting in the 2022-2023 season!
Matthew, a five year Canuck standout, will continue his studies and hockey career at Brock, the 4th consecutive year that the Canucks have had a commitment by Brock (following standouts Frankie Pucci, Mitch Mendonca and Justin Kyle).
‘Riva’ will be long remembered as one of the best players to ever wear a Canuck jersey. He has played in over 220 games with the Canucks, amassing 80 goals and 212 points. He was the winner of the 2019-2020 OHA Donald Sanderson Memorial Award, and the 2019-2020 Golden Horseshoe Player of the Year Award. Additionally, he is a 2-time GOJHL All Star, 2-time Canucks’ leading scorer, and a key member of the Niagara Falls Canucks 2018-2019 Championship Season!
