The Canucks are privately owned, but we’re not a private team. Every home game is a chance to bring somebody in — a minor hockey team, a school, a family who might not otherwise come — and most nights, that’s exactly what we’re doing.

One team, from U7 to Junior A

In 2024 the Niagara Falls Minor Hockey Association became the Niagara Falls Canucks. Every house league and representative team, from U7 through U18, now wears our name, our logo and our colours.

A child who laces up for the first time in this city puts on the same crest worn by the Junior A team down the hall. That’s not a marketing exercise. It’s one team, from the first skate to the last year of junior.

The minor Canucks run the minor hockey program in Niagara Falls. You can find them at hockeyniagara.com.

Minor hockey partners

Any player who arrives wearing the jersey of one of our partner associations gets into a Junior A home game free — every home game, all season long.

Niagara Falls Canucks

Our own minor program, and our closest partnership.

Niagara Girls Hockey Association — the Rapids

Partners since September, 2023. The Rapids promote our home opener and charity games to their membership, and every Rapids player in a Rapids jersey gets in free.

Niagara North AAA Zone — the North Stars

We host a North Stars Night each season, and North Stars players get free admission on the night.

Players competing in any partner association’s tournament also receive free tickets to our home game that weekend, upon request. We give away hundreds every year.

What a team night looks like

Bring a team and there’s more on offer than a seat. Teams attending are entered in a draw to:

  • Take a dressing room tour during warmups
  • Send flag bearers out with the starting lineup
  • Play a mini game during the first intermission

Every team in attendance also gets a shout-out from our announcer during the game.

School Nights

An old Niagara tradition, and it’s back. On a School Night:

  • All staff and students get in free
  • The school choir sings the national anthem
  • We feature the school on our social media and website the week before, with shout-outs during the game
  • Canucks players visit the school beforehand, in their jerseys, to play floor hockey with the students
  • The school receives half-price tickets for parents and siblings, which it can resell at a profit through School Cash Online

We’ve hosted schools from both the Niagara Catholic District School Board and the District School Board of Niagara.

Playing for something bigger

Food and Toy Drive — Project Share of Niagara Falls

Through December we collect non-perishable food, unwrapped toys and gift cards at the box office, for individuals and families in need across Niagara Falls.

Teddy Bear Toss — Victim Services Niagara

Bring a stuffed animal and throw it on the ice when we score our first goal. In 2023 that took two minutes and thirty-three seconds, and hundreds of bears hit the ice.

Fight Cancer Night

The players wear special jerseys, auctioned after the game with the proceeds going to cancer research.

Charity Game Night — Community Crew

A dollar from every ticket sold goes to Community Crew, which provides thousands of nutritious lunches every week to children in schools across Niagara.

Family Day Skate

Bring your skates and join the players on the ice after the game.

We also distribute free tickets to local special needs groups, and we’re always looking for individuals and groups to sing the national anthem before a game.

Come to a game, house a player, or put your name on the boards.
